Good Prices But Crap Seeds

January 4, 2025

Alright, so KingsSeedBank.co.uk caught my eye with their decent prices and a solid selection of classic strains. Ordering was smooth, and the seeds showed up on time in discreet packaging—no complaints there.

BUT… let me tell you about their customer service. One of my seeds arrived cracked, and reaching out to them felt like sending a carrier pigeon into the void. Took days to get a reply, and when I did, it was a super generic response that didn’t really solve anything.

As for the grow, two out of five seeds germinated. terrible. The plants grew fine, but the yields were pretty average.

good and bad tbh

I’ll be straight up—I had high hopes for Kings Seed Bank. The website’s slick, prices seemed reasonable, and they had most of the strains I was looking for.

The seeds arrived quickly, and the packaging was low-key, which is always a win. But the germination rate? Ehh, could’ve been better. I planted six seeds, and only three actually sprouted. The ones that did grow turned out alright, but the final yield didn’t exactly blow me away.

best seed bank

When you stumble across a name like Kings Seed Bank, you expect top-tier service, golden seeds, and maybe even a royal flourish with your order confirmation email. But does KingsSeedBank.co.uk live up to its name, or is this kingdom in need of a little… pruning?

Let’s dig in.

The Good Stuff – They’ve Got the Basics Down

First things first: Kings Seed Bank isn’t a bad seed bank. Their website is clean, easy to navigate, and pretty beginner-friendly. You’ll find a range of seeds, including feminized, autoflower, and some high-CBD strains. It’s not the biggest catalog out there, but they hit the classics: White Widow, Amnesia Haze, Northern Lights—basically the ‘Greatest Hits’ album of cannabis seeds.

Shipping is decent, too. They deliver across the UK and internationally, with relatively discreet packaging. My order arrived on time, and I didn’t have to chase down any tracking info. That’s always a plus.

Oh, and their prices? Not the worst. You’re not going to break the bank shopping here, especially if you stick to their sales section.

But… and there’s always a ‘but’…

The Not-So-Great – Where the Crown Slips

The first red flag for me was the customer service. I had an issue with one of my orders (a cracked seed, for the curious), and let me tell you—it felt like I was trying to get an audience with an actual king. Emails went unanswered for days, and when I finally got a reply, it felt like a copy-paste job with zero personalization.

Then there’s the seed quality. Out of five seeds I ordered, three germinated. That’s… okay, I guess? But in an industry where many seed banks boast germination guarantees, it feels a little weak. For me, every seed counts, and losing two felt like a waste of money.

The strain variety is another sore spot. Sure, they’ve got the classics, but if you’re looking for unique or rare genetics, this probably isn’t the treasure chest you were hoping for.

My Personal Experience – A Bit Meh

I ordered a pack of feminized seeds—classic strains, nothing too wild. The checkout was smooth, and shipping was on time, so props there. But when it came to growing, things went a little sideways.

Three out of five seeds sprouted, and while the plants were healthy enough, the yields were pretty underwhelming. I’ve had better luck with seeds from other banks at a similar price point. And that customer service debacle? Yeah, still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It’s not a disaster, but it’s not exactly a glowing experience either.

Final Verdict – Fit for a King? Not Quite.

KingsSeedBank.co.uk has potential. Their website works well, they deliver on time, and their prices are fair. But in a market overflowing with top-tier seed banks, they just don’t stand out.

If you’re after classic strains and don’t mind rolling the dice on customer service or germination rates, Kings might work for you. But if you’re looking for rare strains, flawless customer support, and reliable germination guarantees, you might want to keep shopping.

At The Dank Review, we aim to keep it real. KingsSeedBank.co.uk isn’t terrible—but it’s not exactly ruling the cannabis seed world either. Choose wisely, fellow growers! 🌱👑
